Logan Whistles Proudly Sponsors the 2026 ISDS World Sheep Dog Trials
The world's finest handlers, working dogs and dog lovers come together in the Scottish Borders

It only happens once very three years but this September, the sheepdog world comes to the Scottish Borders. From 16–20 September 2026, more than 340 handlers and their dogs from 34 nations will gather at Huntington Farm near Lauder for the ISDS World Sheep Dog Trials, one of the most important events in the international sheepdog trialling calendar.
For four days, some of the world's most skilled handlers and working sheepdogs will compete for the World Champion title, in an event that celebrates not only exceptional skill, but the extraordinary partnership between a handler and their dog.
And Logan Whistles is incredibly proud to be part of this major event once again.

More than just a whistle
For generations, the sheepdog whistle has been an essential tool for shepherds and working dog handlers.

From a distance, a whistle can carry precise instructions across a field where the human voice simply cannot. Different tones, pitches and patterns become familiar signals between handler and dog, a language developed through training, trust and experience.
That idea of creating a whistle language between you and your dog is at the heart of what we do at Logan Whistles.

Our whistles are precision made in the UK, designed to produce clear, consistent sounds that can be heard over distance. While their roots are firmly in the shepherding tradition, today Logan Whistles are used by working dog handlers, trainers and dog owners around the world.
And there is perhaps no better place to celebrate that heritage than the World Sheep Dog Trials.
Proud to be part of the 2026 World Trial
Logan Whistles is delighted to be a proud sponsor of the 2026 ISDS World Sheep Dog Trials. As part of our involvement, we have once again been commissioned by the ISDS to provide very special World Trial trophies and a commemorative whistle for this year's event.

There is something particularly special about creating a piece that marks an achievement at the World Trial. For the handlers competing, reaching this level represents years of dedication, training and an extraordinary understanding between dog and handler.
The trophy and whistle become a lasting reminder of that achievement, something to keep long after the final run has finished.
Looking Back: The 2023 World Trial
Before we look ahead to this year's World Trial, it's worth taking a moment to look back at the 2023 event.
Held at Gill Hall Estate in Dromore, Northern Ireland, from 13–16 September 2023, the World Trial brought together the very best sheepdog handlers and dogs for four days of competition.
Logan Whistles was proud to create a number of specially commissioned trophies and whistles for the event, including the awards presented to the World Championship winners.

The 2023 World Champion was Petter Landfald of Norway with Max, who finished the final on an impressive 683 points. Petter received a solid silver Logan Whistle, together with a specially commissioned and engraved Logan Whistles trophy.
David Kevin Evans with Preseli Ci, who finished as Reserve World Champion on 639 points, and Scott Glen of Canada with Pip, who took third place on 634 points, were also presented with specially commissioned, engraved Logan Whistles trophies.
Logan Whistles also provided engraved brass whistles for the winning Ireland team, the Portugal/Spain team and the USA team.
The Young Handler awards were another special part of the event. Tyler McKinlay with Heatherstane Squiggle became Young Handler World Champion and received the specially commissioned Logan Whistles trophy.
It's wonderful to see our whistles become part of these moments, and we're delighted to be continuing our involvement at the 2026 World Sheep Dog Trials.
We'll update this page after the 2026 World Trial with the results, winners and the stories behind this year's Logan Whistles trophies and awards.
A special whistle for a special occasion
As well as creating the official commemorative pieces for the event, we've created something that visitors and collectors can take home with them.
A limited-edition Logan Whistle commemorating the 2026 ISDS World Sheep Dog Trials will be available exclusively from the Logan Whistles stand during the event.

For collectors, sheepdog enthusiasts and Logan Whistlers, it will be a special memento of this year's World Trial and, once they're gone, they're gone.
