Logan Whistles on BBC Countryfile
Back in January BBC Countryfile screened an interview between Adam Henson and Joanne McHardy from Logan Whistles. Joanne was attending the International Supreme Championship trials in Scotland which the BBC were filming - so Adam popped by to say hello and to chat about the history of Logan Whistles.

He was particularly keen to understand why Joanne's father had developed the range of whistles and why he found them so helpful both for working his dogs on the farm and at competition too. Harford had won the Irish National title six times and then the Scottish title when farming in the Highlands of Scotland. He'd also won the Brace and Drive championships at the International so he was a skilled handler and dog trainer.
From their origins back in the 1950s in Ireland, Joanne more recently worked with her father to develop the whistle manufacture and to make the growing range of whistles available to handlers all over the world.
But it was especially gratifying to watch the handlers at this Supreme Championship communicate with their dogs using the whistles for such a keenly contested and coveted title.
For those who can access BBC iPlayer the section is still available to view 20 minutes in on this episode
